One way to cut down on wedding costs is to share items with one or two other friends who may be getting married around the same time that you are.
Items that can be shared are:
- veils
- tiaras
- hair pins
- crinolins
- jewelry
- aisle runners
- candles and votives
- artifical flowers & greenery
- ribbons
- envelopes
- specialty papers
- labels
- craft supplies and tools
- money boxes or birdcages
- live plants
- table easels
- photo frames
- emergency kits
Just work together to figure out who will keep what after the weddings are over!

I don’t think our guys really get that we have been dreaming of the wedding day for a long time. In fact, I joke with Paul that by the time we’re 15, we’ve got the whole event planned out and we’re now on the search for the last detail — a groom!
But he surprised me last night by taking this shot at his engagement session with Miranda & Jay. I like that Jay got into the spirit of things and was trying to pull Miranda away from the window…

It’s been a while since I posted anything on the blog. We’ve been jumping right into our busy season with weddings, boudoir, and other projects.
But I wanted to share with everyone how fun our job is! This last Friday, Paul was called to Duquesne University to photograph the commencement ceremonies. The honored speaker was Jerome Bettis. Paul had a choice to make, get a photo of himself and Jerome together while waiting for things to start or get our thirteen-year-old an autograph. Well, being the good step-dad, he decided to get an official autograph from The Bus and make our teenager a happy fan. So here’s a photo of Jerome giving the commencement speech “Learn, Earn, Return”…

Not to be left out, I had my own brush with fame. I was fortunate to meet Trina, who’s first job out of college was to drive the Oscar Meyer Weiner Mobile! She cracked me up with a story of how the Weiner Mobile made an appearance at her wedding. How unique is that!
