It may seem strange to post this now but our “official” wedding season starts at different times each year. For our purposes, we term the start of the wedding new year as the month of April. And 2008 is starting off with a bang!
Paul and I had two weddings last weekend and we’re gearing up for two weddings this weekend. The weather has been perfect, if not even a little warm. Flowers are popping up all over and trees are starting to send out leaves. There’s anticipation and potential everywhere we look, including the happy faces of our couples.
That just brings me back to the resolution. I’ve been encouraging our brides to post reviews on the Wedding Wire website so others may be helped with their wedding recommendations. I absolutely love the site and think it’s going to be HUGE. So give it a look and if you’ve already received your wedding photos from us, please post a reveiw. We love the feedback!

It all started as a feel good thing in 2001. I was looking for something to do and a way to connect to a new community having recently moved to North Carolina. “What the heck,” I thought, “how bad can running a 5K be?” Ok, so maybe I underestimated the southern humidity, but the great feeling at the end of the race stuck with me.
So I did it again in 2002 and took my 6 year old along for the experience. Those of you who have met me know that I am NOT a runner. I can walk forever, but running is a struggle. So to commit myself to a run is a BIG thing. Needless to say, Alex pulled out ahead and had to wait for Mom to catch up… But we had a great time and decided to do it again in 2003.
The Pittsburgh hills were a surprise after running on relatively flat NC geography. And don’t let anyone kid you. That first hill at Schenley Park is a killer! But in 2003 Paul had joined our team, so the two guys in my life could take off and leave me to finish at my own pace. It became our “new family” tradition.
So now it’s 2008 and we’re running again. And this year we’re offering a goodie for any bride and groom of ours who would like to sponsor us for the event!
